ERIE, Pa. - The Westminster men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Penn State Behrend Invitational on Friday.
Junior
Sadie Cunningham (Webster, NY / Webster Thomas) led the Titan women as she placed runner-up with a time of 26:17. Sophomore
Cherise Schultz (Home, PA / Marion Center) finished in third with a time of 26:37. Rounding out the Titan women runners were first-year
Alexis Yim (Ellicott City, MD / Centennial) who clocked in at 27:58, followed by senior
Kelly Somora (Grove City, PA / Grove City) who registered a time of 28:55. Junior
Mackenzie Rodarmel (Montoursville, PA / Loyalsock Township) finished with a time of 28:57.
The Titan men were led by sophomore Joe Somora (Grove City, PA / Grove City) who clocked in at 30:25, finishing in ninth place. Senior Nathan Kraus (New Castle, PA / Shenango) finished with a time of 31:39, followed by junior Ian Jackson (Neshannock, PA / Neshannock) who timed at 31:41. Rounding out the Titan men runners were sophomore Caden Harsh (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) (33:37), first-year Matthew Kane (Mantua, OH / James A Garfield) (34:02), and sophomore Ryan Armstrong (Pocono Summit, PA / Pocono Mountain West) (36:07).
The Titans are back on the course Saturday, October 9 as they travel to New Castle, Pa. to compete in the Bill Lennox Invitational at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. Start time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
