ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Westminster women's golf team won the Mount Union Fall Invitational on Sunday out of 11 schools with a 347, eight strokes better than second place. The event took place at Tannehauf Golf Club.
Sophomore
Morgan Byers (Venetia, PA / Peters Township) led Westminster as she tied for third with an 84 out of 71 players in the field. Junior
Erika Hoover (New Castle, PA / Wilmington Area) followed next as she carded an 85 for a ninth-place finish. Junior
Kasey Clifford (Longport, NJ / Ocean City) and sophomore
Sierra Richard (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) both scored an 89 and tied for 11
th. Rounding out the five-person squad for Westminster was junior
Olivia Ledbetter (Tarrs, PA / Southmoreland) (57
th/106). Playing as individuals were senior
Jocelyn Behr (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) (T32, 96) and junior
Brynn Shetterly (Seville, OH / Cloverleaf) (T48, 104).
The Titans are back in action Thursday, September 16 as they compete in the West Virginia Wesleyan Invitational at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, W.Va.
