NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College baseball team won both games against the Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets in a home doubleheader on Monday. The Titans won game one, 12-2, in a seven-inning game, before claiming game two by a score of 14-2 in a nine-inning contest.
In the first game, Westminster (6-10, 4-8 PAC) got ahead of Waynesburg (4-8, 2-7 PAC) with a huge seven-run first inning, including two two-RBI singles by graduate student

Dawson Porter (Kittanning, PA / Armstrong). The Titans added another run in the second courtesy of an RBI-single by senior
Vincent Morelli (Ambridge, PA / Ambridge Area) to take a commanding 8-0 lead. That lead proved to be all that sophomore pitcher
Frankie Manios (Warren, OH / Howland) needed on the mound and the Titans cruised to a game-one victory.

Porter also scored on an error on the exact same play to give the Titans a 5-0 lead. Waynesburg managed to plate one run in the top of the fourth to make it 5-1, but Westminster responded with a four-run bottom half, giving them a commanding 9-1 lead as the Titans again sealed an easy victory.
