Women’s Soccer: Titans Draw with Franciscan

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Westminster women's soccer team tied, 0-0, with Franciscan in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action on the road in double-overtime on Saturday.

Franciscan (2-4-2, 2-2-2 PAC) outshot the Titans 11-5 in regulation, however, Westminster (5-1-2, 5-1-2 PAC) had a 2-1 shot-advantage in the extra periods with both shots being on goal in the second OT as senior Marissa Grande (Hubbard, OH / Hubbard) and sophomore Julia Redilla (Cranberry Township, PA / Seneca Valley) both had an opportunity for the game-winner (in back-to-back shots), however, Franciscan's goalkeeper Marita Ostrich kept both shots from going in.

Titan junior goalkeeper Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) collected four saves in a complete-game effort. Holzschuh has now not given up a goal in four-straight games (five total). Westminster also had the advantage in corner kicks at 9-4.

The Titans are back on the field, Saturday, April 24 at Geneva in their regular season finale. Game is set to start at 5 p.m.
