NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster baseball team split a home doubleheader against Grove City on Saturday.

The Titans lost game one, 13-4, however finished the doubleheader with a walk-off two-run home run by junior Austin Webb (Wadsworth, OH / Wadsworth) – winning the nightcap 3-1.

In the PAC-counting nine-inning game one, Westminster (9-13, 5-11 PAC) led 1-0 after two innings. Grove City (13-7, 11-4 PAC), however, took a commanding 9-1 lead with five runs in the third and four in the fourth. In the bottom of the seventh with two outs, Webb made his first career home run a memorable one ending the doubleheader on a high note. First-year Timothy Lewis (Southwest Harbor, ME / Wilmington Area) had a quality non-decision start, pitching 5.1 innings, giving up no earned runs (one total) off only five hits and struck out two. Sophomore Frankie Manios (Warren, OH / Howland) came in for relief and pitched a scoreless top of the seventh and improved to 2-1 on the season.
