NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team won, 2-0, against Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Thiel on Senior Day Saturday.
Just 9:05 minutes into the game, senior
Skylar Bryant (Boardman, OH/Boardman) scored a goal to the high right corner of the net for her first goal of the season. The Titans led 1-0 at halftime.
In the second half, senior
Corrine Larson (Grayslake, IL/ Grayslake Central) put the ball in the net (her first of the season and second of her career) off a double-assist from classmates
Josephine Barnhart (Saint Petersburg, FL/ Saint Petersburgh) and
Bailey Kurdys (Toledo, OH/ Whitmer).
Titan junior goalkeeper
Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH/ Boardman) recorded two saves for the complete-game win.
The Titans led the Tomcats in both shots on goal (16-2) and corner kicks (6-3).
Westminster will return to the pitch on Wednesday, March 31 taking on Grove City in a PAC matchup on the road. The kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
