GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Westminster women's soccer team defeated the Thiel Tomcats, 2-0, on the road in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) bout on Saturday.
The Titans have not conceded a goal in conference play this season.
For the complete first half, both defenses were stout as the offenses could not register a goal. Heading into intermission, Westminster (10-1-1, 4-0 PAC) and Thiel (3-6-1, 0-4 PAC) were in a stalemate with the score 0-0.
During the second half, the Titans were able to strike first with a goal from senior
Ashley McNabb (Grove City, PA / Grove City), her first goal of the season off a dish from classmate
Ashley Frank (Mentor, OH / Mentor). In the 72nd minute, graduate student
Jocelyn Gillette (Natrona Heights, PA / Highlands) scored her first goal of the season, assisted by Frank and first-year
Brooke Horvath (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) making the score 2-0. The Titan defense held strong sealing their fourth consecutive victory.

Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) earned the win in a complete-game shutout, her sixth shutout of the season.
Westminster outshot Thiel (29-3) and bested them in shots-on-goal (11-0). The Titans also had the advantage in corner kicks (9-1).
The Titans are back in action on Wednesday, October 13 as they hosts Grove City in a PAC showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
