Women’s Soccer: Westminster Handles Bison, Seven Titans Score

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster women's soccer team shut out Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Bethany at home by the score of 7-0 on Wednesday, remaining undefeated in conference play.
 
The shutout was Westminster's seventh of the season (third-straight) and has outscored its opponents 13-0 in the last three contests.
 
Westminster (9-1-1, 3-0 PAC) was able to get on top of Bethany (4-6, 0-3 PAC) early as first-year Brooke Horvath (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) scored her eighth goal of the season. The Titans built on their lead at the 22:39 mark when Horvath assisted senior Ashley Frank (Mentor, OH / Mentor) for her third goal of the season. At the 41:51 mark, first-year Erin Fosgreen (Jackson, NJ / Jackson Memorial) scored her first collegiate goal from a free kick to make the score 3-0. Westminster took a 3-0 lead to intermission
 
One minute and fifty-six seconds into the second half, first-year Allie Augustine (Cortland, OH / Lakeview) scored from the top of the box, right over the keeper's hands, registering her fifth goal of the season. During the 56th minute, junior Julia Redilla (Cranberry Township, PA / Seneca Valley) added to the offensive showcase with a goal to make the score 5-0. As the second half rolled on and the Titans in the driver's seat, senior Abby Steinbeck (Windber, PA / Windber) scored her first goal of the season. With 2:27 left in the game, first Lydia Ohm (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills) scored her fourth goal of the season, capping off Westminster's seventh goal of the game.

Titan senior goalkeeper Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) earned the win, collecting one save in 67:40 scoreless minutes.
 
The Titans are back in action on Saturday, October 9 as they travel to Greenville, Pa. to compete in a PAC bout against Thiel. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
