WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Westminster volleyball team swept Waynesburg on the road Thursday night in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest, their 19th shut out of the season.

Near the end of the first set (17-15), Westminster (25-4, 17-0 PAC) was able to close out the set by scoring eight of the next nine points, capped by a kill from senior Samantha Kelly (Irwin, PA / Penn-Trafford). The Titans started hot in the second set, going on a 7-0 run and kept the pedal to the metal, winning 25-8. Once again, the Titans found themselves in the driver's seat (10-3), however Waynesburg (9-19, 3-15 PAC) fought back to make it tied at 20. The experience of the Titans came well in-hand as it earned them a 25-22 win, securing the sweep.

The Titans were led by senior Becky Adelman (Randolph, OH / Waterloo) with a match-high 15 kills, followed by sophomore Lauren Lampus (Sarver, PA / Freeport Area) with ten. Kelly had an all-round performance as she registered match-highs with five service aces and 26 assists, she also tied a match-best 15 digs.

Westminster, on a 13-match winning streak, is back on the court Saturday, October 30 as it hosts Chatham on Senior Day in a PAC bout. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
