GALLOWAY TWP, N.J. - The Westminster College women's lacrosse team lost, 20-2, on the road in a non-conference matchup against Stockton University on Tuesday.
Stockton (4-0) got ahead of Westminster (1-6) with the first goal of the contest, before the Titans responded with a goal by first-year
Emiley Kushner (Cecil, PA / Canon-McMillan) to make the score 1-1 with 27:34 left in the first half. Stockton proceeded to score 13 unanswered goals. Junior
Marisa Keller (Canonsburg, PA / Canon-McMillan) scored the other goal for the Titans. Stockton led 16-2 at halftime and held the lead for the rest of the contest. Sophomore
Emma Bradley (South Fayette, PA / South Fayette) notched seven saves in a complete-game effort.
Stockton outshot the Titans (32-5), and held the slight edge in ground balls (13-11). Stockton also bested Westminster in draw controls (16-7).
Westminster is back in action on Friday, March 27 for their first conference matchup of the season against Saint Vincent College at 4 p.m.
