HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Westminster College women's tennis team lost, 5-4, against non-conference opponent Penn State Harrisburg on Tuesday in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Westminster (13-5) claimed two singles victories against PSU Harrisburg. In the No. 2 singles slot, Senior
Alex Marzouca (Kingston, Jamaica / Immaculate Conception) won by a score of 6-2, 6-1, while junior
McKenna Robinson (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) won her match at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-2. Penn State Harrisburg (6-2) won the remaining singles matches, but took only one of the three doubles matches. Marzouca and classmate
Margo Mason (Pittsburgh, PA / Chartiers Valley) got the win in their doubles match by a score of 8-5. Junior
Julia Serbati (Oil City, PA / Oil City Area) and teammate
Sara Small (Beaver, PA / Beaver Area) also grabbed an 8-6 win in their No. 2 doubles match to round out the day.
Westminster will be back in tomorrow when it continues its Spring Break trip with a matchup against Nazareth College.
