NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's basketball team lost, 66-54, to Saint Vincent College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Wednesday night.
Westminster (8-6, 3-2 PAC) held a 7-5 lead four minutes into the game. Saint Vincent (8-5, 3-1 PAC) responded with a 16-2 run and led 21-9 with 12 minutes left. The Titans orchestrated a 7-2 run to cut Saint Vincent's lead to 23-16, but that would be the closest they would get for the remainder of the half. The Bearcats led 35-26 at intermission.
In the second half, the Titans got within five points of Saint Vincent's lead (35-30) three minutes in. The Bearcats pulled away with a 17-5 run and led 52-35 (their largest of the game) with 10 minutes left. Westminster continued to battle and cut Saint Vincent's lead to 60-52 with a little more than a minute left, but the deficit proved too much to overcome.
