NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team lost in a non-conference contest against Oberlin College on Wednesday evening by a final score of 2-0.
 
The Titans dropped to 5-4 with the loss, while the Yeowomen improved to 3-5-1.
 
Westminster had a good scoring chance in the opening minutes of the contest, when senior Kayla Trozzi (Monroeville, PA / Gateway) darted past the Oberlin back line and was denied with a sprawling save. The Yeowomen netted their first goal of the contest in the 28^th minute to take a 1-0 lead, a lead they took into the halftime break. Oberlin notched an insurance goal in the 60^th minute to take a 2-0 lead.
 
The Titans outshot the Yeowomen (16-8) and led in corner kicks (6-1). Westminster also tallied 13 shots on goal, all of which were stopped by Oberlin goalkeeper Isabelle Smith.
 
Sophomore Reagan Olson (Delaware, OH / Rutherford B. Hayes) led the Titans with three shots. Sophomore Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) tallied three saves for Westminster.
 
The Titans return to the pitch on Saturday when they open up their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) schedule against Bethany College at home. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
