WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Westminster College baseball team traveled to Waynesburg University for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) doubleheader on Saturday.

The Titans lost game one, 2-0, and game two, 12-5.

Westminster (10-15, 5-8 PAC) was held to one hit in game one. Waynesburg (16-14, 10-5 PAC) scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning on a designed rundown play with runners on first and third to give them the lead. Senior
Cory Pullen (Wexford, PA / North Allegheny) tossed six innings, scattering four hits, and two earned runs to go along with three strikeouts.

In game two, the Titans jumped on the board first when junior
Frank Cinicola (Cranberry Township, PA / Senca Valley) deposited a two-out, RBI-double to left field to score senior
Hunter Alexander (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk), giving the Titans an early 1-0 lead. Waynesburg fired back with four runs of its own in the bottom half of the first to regain the lead. Westminster responded in the top of the fourth, when Cinicola launched a pitch over the fence in left centerfield for the first home run of his collegiate career. Waynesburg pulled away with five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Titans scored a couple of runs towards the end of the game, capped off by a two-run eighth inning that saw freshman
James Diamond (Moon Twp, PA / Moon Area) and senior
Dante Parente (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) register runs. Parente, Cinicola, and freshman
Mike Grazier tallied a game-high three hits. Â Freshman
Paul Midili (Spring Hill, FL / Bishop Mclaughlin Catholic) started on the mound for the Titans, while juniors
Dante Sienko (Wexford, PA / Pine-Richland) and
Marcus Masters (Warren, OH / Warren G Harding), and freshman
Zach Zeis (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) all contributed at least an inning on the mound for Westminster.

The Titans dropped to 10-15 overall and 5-8 in the PAC. Waynesburg improved to 16-14 and 10-5 in the PAC.

The Titans will travel to Hiram College on Monday, April 15 in a non-conference doubleheader, starting at 2 p.m.
