NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's lacrosse team lost, 20-4, to The College of the Wooster for its first loss of the season in its home-opener Thursday evening.
Westminster (2-1) tied the game, 1-1, after senior
Emily D'Amico (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area) scored with 24:48 on the clock. D'Amico now has eight goals on the season.
Wooster (2-0) went on a 4-0 run to take a 5-1 lead with 20:18 left. First-year
Magen Polczynski (Irwin, PA / Norwin) broke the scoring run with a goal in the 19
th minute, the first of her collegiate career.
The Fighting Scots orchestrated a 14-0 run, ending with 17:01 on the clock in the second half, to take a 16-2 lead. Titan junior
Michaela Hays (Blairsville, PA / Blairsville) got on the scoreboard, her fifth goal of the year, in the 13:28 mark. Hays found junior
Margo Mason (Pittsburgh, PA / Chartiers Valley) for the final Westminster goal with 8:33 left. Mason now has a team-high 19 goals for the year.

Emma Bradley (South Fayette, PA / South Fayette) gathered in nine saves in a complete-game effort. Bradley, Mason, and junior
Bria Braddock (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) each had a team-high two ground balls. Mason and Braddock each had a team-best three draw controls.
Westminster is back in action Sunday, March 3 at home against Ohio Valley (WV) at 3 p.m.
