NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected football senior wide receiver
Connor Cox (Ridge, MD / Leonardtown) as its Titan Athlete of the Week for his performance during the week of Nov. 11.
Cox led all receivers as he tied a career-high with eight catches for 123 yards (his third 100-yard receiving game of the year) in Westminster's 28-25 win over Geneva College on Saturday. Cox surpassed 2,000 career receiving yards, becoming only the third Titan ever to do so. Cox finished the regular season with 2,048 career receiving yards, only 13 yards shy from tying second all-time in school history (Matt Dvorsak (1995-99)).
Westminster will play SUNY Morrisville in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Clayton Chapman Bowl in Morrisville, NY on Saturday, Nov. 23 with a 12 p.m. kickoff.
