Women’s Tennis: Titans Ready For PAC Championship Tournament

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's tennis team looks to build on their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship runner-up finish from last year in this years' PAC Championship Tournament beginning on Monday.

Tentative Starting Line-up:

1. Margo Mason – Mason enters the PAC Championship tournament with a record of 11-2 in No. 1 singles. The senior is tied with W&J's Maya Krishnasamy for the best No. 1 singles record in the PAC. Mason garnered PAC Player of the Week honors for the week of September 16. Mason and classmate Alex Marzouca also have the most wins in the PAC as a tandem at No. 1 doubles with a record of 12-2.

2. Alex Marzouca – Marzouca currently holds the best record in the PAC at No. 2 singles with a record of 12-1 (1-0 at No. 1 singles). Marzouca's 13-1 overall record is the second-best singles record in the PAC. As mentioned, the senior holds a No. 1 doubles record of 12-2 with teammate Margo Mason. The tandem of Mason and Marzouca are the reigning PAC Champions in No. 1 doubles.

3. Casey Barton – Barton holds a record of 8-3 overall, seeing time at both No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively. The junior also garnered a record of 11-3 overall at a combination of No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

4. Sabrina Slagle – Slagle enters the PAC Championship tournament undefeated with a record of 14-0 at No. 4 and No. 5 singles. Slagle currently has the best record of any singles competitor in the PAC and is the only player in the conference without a singles loss (minimum five decisions). Slagle has been named PAC Rookie of the Week four times this season, more than any other first-year in the conference. Slagle also holds a record of 7-1 at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles collectively.

5. Sara Small – Small currently holds a record of 4-2 at No. 5 and No. 6 singles collectively. The sophomore also has a combined record of 9-2 at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

6. McKenna Robinson – Robinson currently has an overall record of 9-2, making appearances at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles over the course of the season. Robinson is 4-1 at No. 3 doubles this season.

A Look at the Field

The Titans, led by fifth-year Head Coach Dave Hayden, enter the PAC Championship Tournament as the No. 3 seed after notching an overall record of 12-2 and 5-2 in the PAC.
