ALFRED, New York – The Westminster College women's soccer team's contest at Alfred University ended in a 1-1 stalemate on Wednesday night.
 
Westminster (6-4-1, 1-0 PAC) struck immediately when senior Kayla Trozzi (Monroeville, PA / Gateway) notched her eighth goal of the season off a double touch from senior Kiki Kawarizadeh (New Albany, OH / New Albany) and sophomore Reagan Olson (Delaware, OH / Rutherford B. Hayes) to give the Titans a 1-0 lead just 1:45 into the game. The Titans took that 1-0 lead into halftime.
 
In the second half, Alfred (4-3-3, 0-1-1 EMPIRE 8) notched the equalizing goal in the 83^rd minute to tie the game. The game went to overtime and double overtime, where neither team was able to break through, thus ending the game in a 1-1 tie. Alfred outshot the Titans (25-10) and led in corner kicks (10-3).
 
Titan sophomore goalkeeper Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) earned 10 saves in the complete game effort.
 
Westminster will return to the pitch on Saturday when it takes on Washington and Jefferson in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup on the road. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
