NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's tennis team lost at home against Grove City by a final score of 5-4 on Tuesday.
 
Westminster fell to 11-2 overall and 4-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). Grove City jumped to 9-1 and 8-0 in the PAC.
 
Senior Alex Marzouca (Kingston, Jamaica / Immaculate Conception) claimed one of the two victories at singles on the day, dispatching her opponent by a final score of 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. First-year Sabrina Slagle (Pittsburgh, PA / Upper Saint Clair) claimed the other victory at No. 4 singles by a score of 7-6 (10-7), 2-6, 10-8. Slagle also teamed up with junior McKenna Robinson (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) to claim a victory at No. 3 doubles by a score of 8-5. Junior Casey Barton (New York City, NY / Dominican Academy) and sophomore Sara Small (Beaver, PA / Beaver Area) also scored a win at No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-3.
 
The Titans will be back on the court on Thursday, Oct. 17 when they travel to Thiel College for a conference match at 4 p.m.
