NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team vaulted over their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) counterpart, Grove City, by a score of 4-0 at home on Tuesday.
Westminster (8-5-1, 3-0-1 PAC) netted the first goal of the contest in the sixth minute when senior forward
Ahmed Cisse (Germantown, MD / Clarksburg) fired a shot past the Grove City (4-7-2, 2-1-1 PAC) goalkeeper off of his own rebound to give the Titans a 1-0 lead, a lead they would take into the halftime intermission.
In the second half, the Titans took command of the contest when junior forward
Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) slipped through the Wolverine's back line and buried a shot in the back of the net to give the Titans a 2-0 lead in the 52
nd minute. Iregui scored again just ten minutes later off of a touch from senior senior
Peter Mattocks (Saegertown, PA / Saegertown) to extend the Titan's lead to 3-0. With that goal, Iregui tied Titan Sports Hall of Famer Matt Roser (2000-03) for the school record in career goals with 37.
In the 74
th minute, Mattocks scored after a scramble inside the box following a corner kick to give Westminster a 4-0 lead, a lead it would hold for the remainder of the contest.
The Titans bested the Wolverines in shots (20-16) and led in corner kicks (7-3).

Ezra Cimino (Brookline, MA / Waldorf) earned seven saves in the win, while freshman
Jad Jadallah (Canfield, OH / Canfield) picked up one save in just under eight minutes of action.
Westminster will return to the pitch on Saturday, Oct. 19 when it takes on Waynesburg University in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup on the road. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
