LATROBE, Pa. – The Westminster College women's basketball team lost, 80-47, at Saint Vincent College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Thursday evening.
The Bearcats remained first in the PAC standings with 4-0 record in the conference (10-2 overall).
Westminster (4-9, 2-3 PAC) took its first lead of the game when senior
Jackie Mathews (Pittsburgh, PA / OLSH) made a three-pointer with 7:29 left in the first, putting the Titans in front, 5-4. Saint Vincent finished the first quarter strong, outscoring the Titans 21-4. The Bearcats maintained their double-digit lead in the second quarter and led 41-24 at halftime.

Francesca Sicari (Erie, PA / McDowell) scored a team- and season-high 10 points (5-of-10). Junior
Emily Fromknecht (Erie, PA / McDowell) and sophomore
Alazia Greaves (West Sunbury, PA / Moniteau) each had eight points. Fromknecht also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, while Greaves tied a game- and season-high with four assists and tied a game-high with a pair of steals. First-year
Magen Polczynski (Irwin, PA / Norwin) added six points. Fromknecht and first-year
Megan Meyer (New Galilee, PA / Mohawk) each had a block.
Saint Vincent outshot Westminster 44.1% (30-68) to 31.1% (19-61) and held a 45-40 rebound advantage.
Westminster will next host Geneva College Saturday, January 5 at 1:30 p.m.
