BRADFORD, Pa. – The Westminster College women's soccer team defeated the University of Pitt-Bradford, 6-1, on the road in a non-conference match Thursday afternoon.
Westminster improved its record to 6-2 on the season, while Pitt-Bradford fell to 1-6.
Westminster scored its first goal of match in the 30
th minute of the first half. Junior
Kayla Trozzi (Monroeville, PA / Gateway) found classmate
Gabrielle Diamond (Moon Township, PA / Moon) to give the Titans a 1-0 lead. The assist was Trozzi's third of the year, while the score was Diamond's first of the season.

Kiki Kawarizadeh (New Albany, OH / New Albany) found the back of the net for her first goal of the year, giving Westminster a 2-0 lead. In the 67

Bailey Kurdys (Toledo, OH / Whitmer) continued the Titan scoring montage with her second goal of the season (6-0), while sophomore
Josephine Barnhart (Saint Petersburg, FL / Saint Petersburg) was credited with the assist, her first of the season. Pitt-Bradford added a goal late in the 84
th minute but the Titans held off the Panther's the rest of the way.
Trozzi totaled a career-high five points with two goals, one assist, and three shots on goal while also registering a career- and match-high six shots. The five points is tied for second in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) for most points in a match this season. Diamond, Kawarizadeh and Grande each tallied two shots, two shots on goal and a score. Sophomore
Skylar Bryant (Boardman, OH / Boardman) registered three shots and one shot on goal, while first-year
Mackenzie Hupp (Willoughby, OH / Willoughby South) added three shots and two shots on goal.
First-year goalkeeper
Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) recorded one save in just under 53 minutes of play. Classmate
Emily Beck (Sarasota, FL / Cardinal Mooney) finished the remainder of the match in goal for the Titans.
Westminster is back in action at home Monday, September 24 against #10 Carnegie Mellon University*. Start time is set for 5 p.m. on the grass field.
