NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's lacrosse team won, 9-6, at home over Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) foe Thiel College Thursday afternoon for its second-straight victory.
Westminster (2-4, 2-1 ORLC) had a 4-0 lead after sophomore
Bria Braddock (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) scored at the 10:44 mark of the first half. Sophomore

Sarah Nutter (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills) (20:10), and junior
Emily D'Amico (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area) (15:14) also scored for the Titans.
D'Amico added another goal to open the second half (26:36), putting the Titans in front, 5-1. Thiel (2-5, 2-2 ORLC) scored two quick goals, cutting Westminster's lead to 5-3 with 24:37 on the clock. The Titans answered with three-straight goals to take an 8-3 lead, with the third one coming at the 18:48 mark off the stick of sophomore
Brooke Lyczek (Cranberry PA / Seneca) for the first collegiate goal of her career. D'Amico (22:36) and sophomore
Cortlynn Douds (Darlington, PA / Blackhawk) (19:17) each had a goal during the run.
Thiel cut Westminster's lead to 8-5 with eight minutes remaining, however, the Tomcats would not get any closer for the remainder of the game. Braddock netted the final Titan goal at the 7:06 mark, while Thiel scored the final goal of the game with 4:37 left.
D'Amico and senior
Sarah Nutter (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills) each totaled a game-high three points. D'Amico registered a game-high three goals, while Nutter earned a goal and a game-best two assists. D'Amico now has a team-high 23 goals. First-year
Matalyn Holland (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler Area) tied a career-high with 12 saves.
Westminster held a 26-19 advantage in ground balls, led by Braddock who gathered in a career- and game-high eight. Thiel had a slight 10-7 advantage in draw controls. Both teams had four free-position shots.
The Titans will next play Mount St. Joseph University in ORLC action on Saturday, April 7 at 12 p.m.
