GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Westminster College men's lacrosse team fell to Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) foe Thiel College, 13-5, on Wednesday evening.
Westminster fell to 5-8 overall, 3-6 in the ORLC. Thiel improved to 8-6 overall and 6-3 in conference play.
The Tomcats and Titans were even at zero at the end of one. In the second quarter, however, Thiel went on a 4-0 run, capped off by JJ Raab at the 9:35 mark. Westminster scored to cut into the Tomcat lead (4-1) when sophomore
Adrian Culp (Gaithersburg, MD / Quince Orchard) converted on a man-up opportunity with 4:41 left in the second. Thiel scored three goals after Culp's goal, taking a 7-1 lead into halftime. Titan junior
Ryan Shorts (Westlake Village, CA / Oak Park) and Culp scored on man-up opportunities at the 5:37 and 5:04 marks, respectively, in the third quarter. Thiel led, 9-3, at the end of three. In the fourth, sophomore

Thiel led in ground balls (28-15), shots-on-goal (30-23), and face offs (12-8). Junior
Carter Hall (Zeeland, MI / Zeeland West), junior
Matt Trella (Moon Twp, PA / Moon Area), and sophomore
Dylan Wolford (Apex, NC / Apex) each earned a team-high three ground balls for the Titans. Hall collected 17 saves in a complete-game effort.
Westminster is back in action Saturday, April 28 at ORLC foe Bethany College for its regular season finale starting at 1 p.m.
