NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's tennis team fell, 8-1, to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Washington & Jefferson College in its regular season home finale Wednesday afternoon.
Westminster dropped to 4-8 overall and 3-4 in the PAC. W&J improved to 13-2 overall and 8-0 in conference play.
Freshman
Miguel Ascencio (Venitia, PA / Peters Township) and senior
Kornel Foremski (Shaker Heights, OH / Shaker Heights) were victorious at number one doubles, 8-3. Ascencio fought hard at number one singles, losing the first set, 7-5, but winning the second set 6-1. Ascencio lost, 10-2, in the third set.
Westminster closes out the regular season Saturday, April 21 on the road at PAC opponent Grove City College. Start time is set for 11 a.m.
