GAMBIER, Ohio – The Westminster College men's basketball team won, 67-56, at Kenyon College in non-conference action Monday evening.
 
Junior Dylan O'Hara (Girard, OH / Girard) led the Titans with a game- and career-high 29 points. It was the most points scored in a game for Westminster since Cameron Kane-Johnson dropped 30 at Youngstown State last season on November 21. O'Hara also grabbed a game- and career-best 10 rebounds, notching the first double-double of his career. O'Hara also tied a career-high with a game-high three steals.
 
Titan senior Austin Armwood (Columbus, OH / Westerville North) scored 15 points, marking the fifth time this year he has scored in double-figures. Armwood tied with O'Hara with a team-high two assists. Senior African Grant II (Warren, OH / Warren JFK) and sophomore Isaac Stamatiades (Elkridge, MD / Avalon) added six and five points, respectively. Grant II and Stamatiades each had eight rebounds (career-high for Stamatiades). Sophomore Daniel Ritter (North Lima, OH / South Range) also had a career-high in boards with seven, while junior Blake Payne (Ashtabula, OH / Jefferson Area) had six. The Titans dominated on the glass with a 52-32 rebound advantage.
 
Westminster (2-4) started the game with a 12-2 lead, capped off with a three by Stamatiades, with 13:40 on the clock. Kenyon (0-5) cut the Titans' lead to five points (21-16), however, Westminster did not let the Lords get any closer and remained in front for the remainder of the frame. The Titans led 32-20 at halftime. Kenyon made it a one-possession game three times in the second half, with the latest coming with 4:06 left (59-56). The Titans, however, never lost the lead and finished the game strong, outscoring the Lords 8-0.
 
The Titans outshot the Lords, 41.9% (26-62) to 34.4% (22-64).
 
The Titans open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Wednesday, November 28 against Chatham University at home with an 8 p.m. start time.
