NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team defeated Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Washington & Jefferson College, 4-2, on Saturday afternoon.
Westminster (11-3, 5-1 PAC) scored the first goal of the game just five minutes into the first half as junior
Nick Cimini (Mars, PA / Mars Area) connected with the back of the net off a pass from freshman
Logan Mannheimer (South Park, PA / South Park), making the score 1-0. The score stayed 1-0 at halftime. Just less than two minutes into the second half, sophomore
Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) scored his PAC best 14
th goal of the season, giving Westminster a 2-0 advantage. Junior
Ahmed Cisse (Germantown, MD / Clarksburg) was credited with the assist. Washington & Jefferson (5-8-1, 3-2 PAC) answered with a goal at the 55:29 mark, cutting into the Titan lead, 2-1. In the 61
st-minute, Cimini scored his second goal of the game, this time from Iregui to regain a two-goal lead (3-1). In the 77

Peter Mattocks (Saegertown, PA / Saegertown) shot from inside the 18-yard box and scored his 10
th goal of the season (second best in PAC) as Westminster took a 4-1 lead. W&J scored with two and a half minutes left, but Westminster held on, winning 4-2.
Westminster led in shots (19-13) and corner kicks (5-1). Senior goalkeeper
AJ Bove (New Stanton, PA / Hempfield Area) totaled three saves in 61 minutes of work. Junior
Ezra Cimino (Brookline, MA / Waldorf) tallied two saves in 29 minutes of action.
