PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Westminster College women's soccer team lost, 2-0, to Chatham University on Friday evening.
This was the first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game of the season for the Titans. Westminster dropped to a record of 5-5 (0-1), while Chatham improved to 7-2 (1-0).
The Cougars scored in the fourth minute off the foot of Julia Bruening. Bruening then found Cougar teammate Victoria Vernail in the 35
th minute to extend the lead for Chatham.
Titan junior
Keely Birsic (North Ridgeville, OH / Elyria Catholic) finished the game with five shots. Sophomore
Gabrielle Diamond (Moon Township, PA / Moon) tallied two shots, including one on goal.
Titan senior goalkeeper
Laura Page (Bethel Park, PA / Bethel Park) saved five shots in 90 minutes of work.
The Titans' next match is Tuesday, October 3 at 6 p.m. at Waynesburg University.
