MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Westminster College volleyball team lost, 3-2, at Allegheny College in non-conference action Friday night. Tonight's game was the first of three for Westminster at the Allegheny Invitational.
The Titans won the first set, 26-24. The Gators tied it, 1-1, after winning set two, 25-19. Westminster went back in front with a 25-17 win in set three, however, Allegheny forced a fifth set with a 25-22 win at the fourth set. In the fifth set, Westminster was up 9-3. Allegheny, however, orchestrated an 8-0 run to take an 11-9 lead. The Gators remained in front for the remainder of the set to seal the match (15-11).

Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) earned a season-high with a match-high 21 kills. Junior
Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) had 15 kills. Saxton also registered a career-best 19 digs. Sophomore
Reilly DeGeorge (Ashtabula, OH / Saint John) added nine kills and had a match-high five service aces. Junior
Molly Parker (North Huntingdon, PA / Norwin) tallied a team-high 20 digs, while DeGeorge had 18 digs. First-year
Hannah Santom (Grove City, PA / Grove City) added 11 digs. Junior
Shanna Daniels (Hermitage, PA / Billy C. Ryan) dished out a team-high 27 assists, while Santom had 14.
Westminster dropped to 11-4 overall, while Allegheny improved to 8-7.
Westminster will continue the Allegheny Invitational on Saturday, September 30 as it plays the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg at 12 p.m. and Buffalo State College at 2:30 p.m.
