Volleyball: Titans Win Final Two Matches at Allegheny Invitational

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Westminster College volleyball team won its final two matches of the two-day Allegheny College Invitational on Saturday.
 
The Titans won, 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-22), over the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg in game one and won, 3-1 (18-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-15), over Buffalo State College in their second match.
 
Against Pitt-Greensburg (3-14), Titan senior Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) earned a match-high 15 kills, followed by sophomore Reilly DeGeorge (Ashtabula, OH / Saint John) (8) and junior Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) (6). DeGeorge also registered match-highs in aces (5) and digs (15), while Saxton had two blocks and nine digs. Yoho tallied a match-best five blocks, to go along with an ace. Junior Shanna Daniels (Hermitage, PA / Billy C. Ryan) dished out a match-high 23 assists. First-year Hannah Santom (Grove City, PA / Grove City) added 14 assists, four aces, and seven digs. Sophomore Haley Farmerie (Manor, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) earned three blocks, while junior Molly Parker (North Huntingdon, PA / Norwin) had seven digs.
 
Against Buffalo State (4-14), Yoho tied a match-best 16 kills. Saxton and DeGeorge earned 13 and 10 kills, respectively. Sophomore Allison Rebich (Erie, PA / Mercyhurst Prep.) added nine kills. Yoho also had a match-best three aces, to go along with three blocks. Junior Rachel Moore (Greensburg, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) led the Titan defense with 20 digs, followed by Saxton (16), Santom (10), and DeGeorge (10). Daniels once again led Westminster with 19 assists, while Santom earned 18. Santom added two aces, while Farmerie and Saxton registered three and two blocks, respectively.
 
Westminster will next compete against Thiel College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action at home Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
