BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Westminster College men's lacrosse team concluded its non-conference schedule with a 20-7 win at Medaille College on Saturday.
Titan freshman
Dante Serra (Center Valley, PA / Southern Lehigh) set a school record with a game-high 10 points. He tied a school record with four assists and scored a game- and career-high six goals. Sophomore
Ryan Shorts (Westlake Village, CA / Oak Park) and freshman
Chris Slater (Pittsburgh, PA / Central Catholic) registered four points each, while sophomore
Luke Ostoyic (Kentson, OH / Kenston) earned three. Junior
Shamon Walker (Pittsburgh, PA / Milton Hershey) and freshman
Adrian Culp (Gaithersburg, MD / Quince Orchard) tallied two points apiece. Freshman
Chris Ryczaj (Pittsburgh, PA / Central Catholic) and freshman Tyler Nordby (Burnt Hills, NY / Burnt Hills) each added a point.
Westminster (5-4) led 13-3 at halftime and scored seven more goals in the second half. Medaille (1-6) scored two goals in the first quarter, one in the second, two in third, and two in the fourth.
Westminster outshot Medaille 42-35, including 28-17 on goal, and held a 54-32 advantage in ground balls. Ryczaj gathered in a game-high 15 groundballs. Titan sophomore goalkeeper
Carter Hall (Zeeland, MI / Zeeland West) collected 10 saves in 56 minutes of work.
The Titans are back on the field Wednesday, April 12 with a home Ohio River Lacrosse Conference contest against Thiel College at 7:30 p.m.
