NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's lacrosse team competed against Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) foe Franklin College (IN) for its Senior Day on Sunday.
The Titans lost, 16-8. The Grizzlies led 10-3 at halftime and outscored the Titans 6-5 in the second half.
First-year
Bria Braddock (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) led the Titan offense with four points, courtesy of a team-best four goals. Senior
Anne Tillie (Fallston, MD / Fallston) and sophomore
Emily D'Amico (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area) each registered two goals.
Each team had 17 ground balls. Braddock collected a game- and season-high seven ground balls. Titan senior goalkeeper
Jesse Reichard (State College, PA / State College) tied a season-high with 10 saves in 60 minutes of work.
Franklin had a 13-8 advantage in draw controls. Braddock tallied a game- and season-best six draw controls.
The Titans are back on the field Monday, April 24 as they resume their game against Waynesburg University at Moon High School in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania at 1 p.m. The game was played last Wednesday at home, but it was stopped with 18:27 to play due to lightning. The Titans were winning 13-11.
