MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Westminster College softball team won its sixth-straight game after a non-conference doubleheader sweep at Allegheny College on Sunday.
The Titans won game one, 21-1, and won, 8-4, in the second game. Westminster's 21 runs and its 20-run margin were both the highest in over 11 years.
In game one, Westminster (14-6) scored 12 runs in the second inning, eight in the third, and one in the fourth. Allegheny (5-13) spoiled the shutout with a run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Titan junior
Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, VA / Woodgrove) improved to 8-0 after allowing two hits in three scoreless innings. She struck out five and walked one. The Titans outhit the Gators 15-5. Sophomore
Cheyenne Shifflett (Etters, PA / Trinity) registered a game- and career-high four RBIs, followed by Rohrer who tied a career-high with three RBIs. Junior

In the second game, the Titans led 2-0 with two runs in the first inning; Liverman scored the first run with an RBI-double, scoring Westfall, and Cohen singled home Liverman. Allegheny took a 3-2 lead with a run in the bottom of the first inning and two in the second. The Titans orchestrated a five-run sixth inning to take a 7-3 lead. Liverman tied the game, 3-3, with a solo home run in the sixth, her first of the season and fourth of her career. Rohrer put the Titans back in front, 4-3, with an RBI-single, scoring Lindsey. Junior
Addie Dieterich (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) extended the Titans' lead to 6-3 with a two-run double, scoring junior

Nicole Anderson (Oakmont, PA / Riverview). Westfall scored the seventh run with an RBI-single, bringing home Dieterich. After Allegheny scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, Rohrer connected on an RBI-single, scoring sophomore

Kayla Troxil (Canfield, OH / Canfield) (4-5) pitched four innings, while giving up three runs on seven hits. She had two strikeouts and a walk.
The Titans are back on the field Wednesday, April 5 with a home Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) doubleheader versus Washington & Jefferson College. Game one is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
