NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's tennis team won, 5-4, over Division II California University of Pennsylvania at home on Tuesday.
The Titans improved to 14-3 overall, while the Vulcans dropped to 2-2.
Westminster won three singles matches, led by senior
Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, PA / Hollidaysburg) who won number four singles, 6-2, 6-1. Turiano also teamed up with senior
Stephanie Homitz (New Brighton, PA / New Brighton) for an 8-4 win at number two doubles. Senior
Christijana Vucenovic (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) and junior
Patricia Pivaronas (Saxonburg, PA / Knoch) also won number three doubles, 8-2.
The Titans will next play at Division II Slippery Rocky University on Saturday, March 25 with a 3 p.m. start time.
