NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team lost, 2-0, to regionally-ranked Geneva College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest at home Saturday afternoon.
The Titans dropped to 5-6-1 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play, while Geneva improved to 9-2-1 overall and 3-0-0 in the league.
The Golden Tornadoes scored their first goal in the 15
th minute when Jake Broadwick found David McKinley with a cross in the box.
Geneva scored its second goal in the second half when Michael Pohlod crossed a pass to Josh Brenize, who found the back of the net in the 38
th minute.
Sophomore
Peter Mattocks (Saegertown, PA / Saegertown) led the Titans with three shots (one on goal), while freshman
Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) and junior
Shane Fallen (Blue Bell, PA / Wissahickon) each had two shots.

Chance Herbst (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls) earned a career-high three saves in 90 minutes of work.
Geneva outshot Westminster 19-8, including 5-1 on goal. The Golden Tornadoes also held a 12-6 advantage in corner kicks.
Westminster will next compete at Thiel College on Wednesday, Oct. 11 with a 7:30 p.m. start time.
