WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's tennis team won, 7-2, at Washington & Jefferson College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match Friday night. With the win, the Titans remain undefeated in conference play.
The Titans improved to 8-3 overall and a perfect 7-0 in the PAC, while the Presidents dropped to 5-6 overall and 3-4 in the league.
The Titans won five of the six singles matches, led by senior
Gabriele Eaborn (Coraopolis, PA / West Allegheny) who won at number one, 6-2, 6-1. Westminster also won two of the three doubles matches, including a number two victory courtesy of sophomore
Alex Marzouca (Miami, FL / Immaculate Conception) and senior
Patricia Pivaronas (Saxonburg, PA / Knoch) (8-1).
Westminster will next play Saturday, Oct. 7 at home against Mount Aloysius College for its Senior Day. The match will start at 11 a.m.
