WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team lost, 4-3, on Tuesday evening to Waynesburg University.

This was the first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game of the season for the Titans. Westminster fell to 5-5-1 (0-1) on the year, while Waynesburg improved to 4-4-2 (2-0).

Titan sophomore Peter Mattocks (Saegertown, PA / Saegertown) scored the opening goal of the contest in the 7th minute. Mattocks took a rebound that was deflected off of Yellow Jacket goalie Adam Dolan into the back of the net to give the Titans a 1-0 lead.

Mattocks scored again in the 18th minute off a corner kick from Titan sophomore Ahmed Cisse (Germantown, MD / Clarksburg), to make it 2-0. Mattock's goal was his third of the season.

Waynesburg retaliated with four-straight goals from Daniel Hott (20th minute), Justin Buberl (26th, 54th minute) and Sam Almeter (72nd minute). The Yellow Jackets' 4-2 lead was reduced to one when Titan senior Fedja Smajic (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) scored his third goal of the season in the 73rd minute. Smajic scored from 15 yards out, sneaking the ball just under the crossbar.
