NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team lost, 1-0, to Bethany College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action at home Wednesday night.
The Titans dropped to 7-7-1 overall and 2-3-0 in the conference, while the Bison improved to 8-7-1 overall and 2-2-1 in league play.
The lone goal came at the 79:54 mark when Jose Lujan placed a free kick to Mikel Ubeda who headed the ball into the back of the net.
Westminster had an 8-2 advantage in shots in the first half, however, the Bison outshot the Titans, 10-5, in the second half. Both teams had five shots on goal. The Titans totalled six corner kicks, while Bethany had none.

Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) tied a game-high with a team-best two shots-on-goal. Seniors
Jon Clark (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington),
Grant Gagnon (Johnstown, PA / Westmont Hilltop), and
Zack Walters (Hermitage, PA / Hickory) each had a shot-on-goal.

Chance Herbst (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls) collected a career-high four saves in 90 minutes of work.
The Titans are back on the field Saturday, Oct. 21 with a road conference game at Washington & Jefferson College at 3 p.m.
