Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Volleyball: Titans Top Washington & Jefferson, 3-1

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College volleyball team won, 3-1, over Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Washington & Jefferson College at home Saturday afternoon.
 
The Titans won set one, 25-15, and lost set two, 25-17. The Titans sealed the match after winning set three, 25-15, and outlasting the Presidents with a 25-22 set four victory.
 
Westminster improved to 19-4 overall and 11-2 in the PAC, while the Presidents dropped to 9-10 overall and 6-7 in the conference.


 
Senior Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) led the Titan offense with 21 kills, which tied a season high. Junior Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) and first-year Hannah Santom (Grove City, PA / Grove City) earned 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Junior Shanna Daniels (Hermitage, PA / Billy C. Ryan) dished out a team- and season-high 31 assists, while first-year Hannah Santom (Grove City, PA / Grove City) had 18. Daniels also tied a match-high with junior Rachel Moore (Greensburg, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) with two service aces. Moore led the Titan defense with career-high 36 digs, followed by senior Kendell Dickson (Cochranton, PA / Cochranton) (20), sophomore Reilly DeGeorge (Ashtabula, OH / Saint John) (15), and Daniels (14). Sophomore Haley Farmerie (Manor, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) earned a match-best four blocks. Dickson added three blocks, while Yoho and DeGeorge each had two.
 
Westminster is back on the court Wednesday, October 18 at Chatham University's tri-match. The Titans will play Mount Aloysius College at 6 p.m. and Chatham at 8 p.m.
