PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team lost, 2-1, in double overtime at La Roche College in a non-conference contest on Thursday.
In the second overtime, the Redhawks (2-1) netted the game-winner with a goal by Pedro Ansede at the 109:33 mark. Elliot Dick had the assist.
Late in the second half, La Roche took a 1-0 lead with a score at the 81st minute when Jordan Smith found Ximo Vicent for a goal. Titan freshman
Brett Henderson (Freeland, MD / Hereford) evened the game, 1-1, with his first collegiate goal at the 85

Justin Brandt (Elliott City, MD / Archbishop Spalding) earned the assist.

For the game, Westminster out-shot La Roche 23-12, including a 13-7 shots-on-goal advantage. Junior
Zack Walters (Hermitage, PA / Hickory) led the Titans with three shots-on-goal.
Westminster (2-2) will next compete at the Marietta College Tournament, starting on Saturday, September 10. The Titans will play Denison University on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Marietta on Sunday at 12 p.m.
