ALTOONA, Pa. – The Westminster College women's soccer team lost, 1-0, on the road to Penn State Altoona in a non-conference game Wednesday night.
The Lions (1-1) broke the scoreless game with a goal at the 48:37 mark in the second half when Caroline Menges found Shoshana Mahoney for a score from 20 yards out.
Westminster (0-2-1) out-shot Penn State 26-16. The Titans also held a 14-9 shots-on-goal advantage, led by junior
Melissa Thomas (Hubbard, OH / Hubbard) and sophomore
Angela Bowell (Youngstown, OH / Ursuline) who each had three.

The game was delayed in the second half due to lightning.
Westminster will next travel to Marietta College (OH) on Saturday, September 10 with a start time of 5 p.m.
