ERIE, Pa. – The Westminster College women's soccer team lost, 2-1, to Penn State Behrend on the road in a non-conference game Sunday night.
Penn State Behrend (4-3) took a 1-0 lead after Olivia Belack scored at the 4:59 mark of the first half. The Lions added to their lead with a goal at the 29:40 mark with a goal by Nicole Evans.

Kaelyn Puhalla (Youngstown, OH / Austintown-Fitch) cut the Lions' lead to 2-1 with her team-leading third goal of the season with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.

Ashley Smialek (Chicago, IL / Marist) collected a career-high five saves in 45:00 minutes.
For the game, Behrend out-shot Westminster, 19-4, including an 11-1 shots-on-goal advantage.
Westminster (3-3-2) will next play at La Roche College on Sunday, September 25 with a 1 p.m. start time.
