NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Westminster College women's soccer team (2-2-1) won its second-straight shutout after a 1-0 win at Muskingum University (1-4) on Sunday.
First-year
Kaelyn Puhalla (Youngstown, OH / Austintown-Fitch) scored the game-winning goal, the first of her collegiate career, at the 82:54 mark after receiving a pass from sophomore
Keely Birsic (North Ridgeville, OH / Elyria Catholic).
Titan junior goalkeeper
Laura Page (Bethel Park, PA / Bethel Park) earned three saves in a complete-game effort.
For the game, Westminster out-shot Muskingum 31-6, including a 13-3 shots-on-goal advantage. Birsic registered a game-high three shots-on-goal.
Westminster will next play at Franciscan University Thursday, September 15 with a start time of 5 p.m.
