BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Westminster College men's tennis team won, 8-1, over Thiel College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) home match on Thursday. The contest was played at the Boardman Tennis Club.
Westminster (3-6, 3-5 PAC) won the first five singles and swept the doubles competition. Thiel fell to 2-6 overall and 1-6 in the PAC.
Sophomore
A.J. May (Butler, PA / Butler) won 6-4, 6-4 at number one singles, and partnered with classmate
Kornel Foremski (Shaker Heights, OH / Shaker Heights) for an 8-6 win at number one doubles. Junior
Jon Clark (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) came back and won number five singles, 3-6, 6-2, 10-8.
The Titans will close out the regular season on Saturday, April 23 at Franciscan University with a 1 p.m. start time.
