NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College softball team won its fifth-straight game on Saturday after a doubleheader sweep at home over Geneva College in both teams' Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener.
The Titans (9-11, 2-0 PAC) shut out the Golden Tornadoes (10-8, 0-2 PAC) in six innings in game one, 8-0, and won 5-4 in game two after a walk-off double by sophomore
Nicole Anderson (Oakmont, PA / Riverview) in the bottom of the seventh.

Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, VA / Woodgrove) (5-6) earned both wins. On the day, she allowed only four hits in eight scoreless innings, while striking out a total of 13 batters.
In game one, the Titans scored one run in the first inning after first-year
Kailey Liverman (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) doubled home junior
Checka Nardone (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln). Westminster registered two more runs in the fourth inning, including another RBI by Liverman, and led 3-0. Nardone extended Westminster's lead to 5-0 following a two-run single in the sixth. Liverman added three more RBIs, bringing her total to five for the game, after a two-run home run in the sixth; this was her second homer of the year. Rohrer pitched a complete game and only allowed three hits, while striking out nine batters and walking three.

Emily Lindsey (Freeport, PA / Freeport) singled home Anderson in the second inning. Geneva tied the game at 1 with a run in the third. In the bottom half of the third inning, the Titans regained the lead following an RBI by sophomore
Alexa Owrey (New Castle, PA / Shenango), and led 2-1. The Titans scored two more runs in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead. The Golden Tornadoes registered two runs in the fifth to cut the Titans' lead to 4-3 and tied the game at 4 with a run in the sixth. In the bottom of the seventh with one out, Anderson doubled home Owrey for the winning run. Rohrer earned the win after coming in for relief. She allowed only one hit in two scoreless innings. Rohrer struck out four of the seven batters she faced.
The Titans will next play at Washington & Jefferson College on Wednesday, April 6 in a doubleheader. Game one is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
