NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College softball team won its 13
th-straight game after a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) sweep over Saint Vincent College at home on Saturday.
 
The Titans shut out Saint Vincent in game one, 4-0, and held off the Bearcats in game two for a 7-6 win. Sophomore 
Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, VA / Woodgrove) only allowed two hits in the complete-game shutout in game one; she struck out nine batters and walked one. Rohrer earned the save in game two after she came in the top of the seventh with the bases loaded and no outs and gave up zero runs on one hit.
 
In game one, Westminster (17-11, 10-0 PAC) scored all four runs in the third inning. Junior 
Emily Lindsey (Freeport, PA / Freeport) scored the first run after Rohrer reached on base on a Bearcat error. Senior 
Lexi Sheffer (Seneca, PA / Cranberry) scored first-year 
Kailey Liverman (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) with a ground out. Sophomore 
Nicole Anderson (Oakmont, PA / Riverview) followed with a two-run single, scoring sophomore 
Addie Dieterich (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) and Rohrer.
 
In the second game, Westminster led 1-0 in the first inning after Liverman scored Lindsey on a fielder's choice. Saint Vincent (18-10, 6-4 PAC) took a 2-1 lead in the top of the third, following a two-run home run by Shelby Noel.  The Titans responded in the bottom of the third with three runs to go up, 4-2; Rohrer singled home junior 
Checka Nardone (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln) and senior 
Amber Forrest (Clear Spring, MD / Clear Spring) connected on a two-run single, scoring Rohrer and Liverman. The Bearcats quickly tied the game, 4-4, with two runs in the top of the fourth. Westminster, once again, regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth when Liverman doubled to left field, bringing home Nardone and Lindsey. Liverman added another run with an RBI-single in the sixth, scoring Lindsey. The Bearcats managed to score two runs in their last at bat, however, with the tying run on third base, Rohrer struck out Saint Vincent's Kelsey Lineberger to seal the Titan victory and earn her first save of the season. Forrest (8-5) pitched five innings, while giving up four runs on seven hits. She struck out one and walked three.
 
Westminster will next host Waynesburg University on Wednesday, April 20 in a conference doubleheader. Game one is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
