PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Westminster College softball team won its 11
th-straight game and remained undefeated in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) following a doubleheader sweep at Chatham University on Thursday.
Westminster (15-11, 8-0 PAC) won game one, 12-1, and game two, 9-1. Both games ended after five innings of play.
In game one, the Titans scored two runs in the first inning, three in the second, and seven in the fourth. The Cougars scored their lone run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Westminster out-hit Chatham 14-4. Titan first-year
Kailey Liverman (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) went 3-for-3 at the plate, including team-highs in runs (3) and doubles (2). Liverman also added two RBIs. Westminster sophomore
Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, VA / Woodgrove) also went 3-for-3, while registering two runs scored and an RBI. Senior

Hannah Ritter (Front Royal, VA / Skyline) earned a double apiece for Westminster. Rohrer (8-6) only allowed one hit in three scoreless innings. She struck out seven batters and walked one.
Chatham (2-17, 0-6 PAC) led 1-0 in game two after the first inning. Westminster scored four runs in the second to take a 4-1 lead and added five more in the fourth. Junior
Checka Nardone (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln) led the offense with a team-high three RBIs. Liverman added a triple. Westminster tallied six stolen bases, led by sophomore
Alexa Owrey (New Castle, PA / Shenango) who had two. Senior
Amber Forrest (Clear Spring, MD / Clear Spring) (7-5) pitched a complete game, while allowing one run on four hits. Forrest earned eight strikeouts and had zero walks.
Westminster will next host Saint Vincent College in a PAC doubleheader on Saturday, April 16. Game one is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
