Baseball: Titans Fall in Season Opener

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - The Westminster College baseball team lost, 3-1, to Wilkes University in its 2016 season opener and first game of its Florida trip Saturday night.

Titan freshman Travis Lauster (Slipper Rock, PA / Slippery Rock) scored in the top of the first. 

Wilkes scored two runs in the third inning and one in the fifth. 

Westminster junior pitcher Nate McMaster (Stow, OH / Stow-Munroe Falls) went seven innings and gave up three runs on six hits. He had six strikeouts and zero walks. 

The Titans continue their Florida trip with a 1 p.m. game tomorrow against Lebanon Valley.
