KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Westminster College softball team split its two games at the Rebel Spring Games, including its 2016 opener, on Friday.
The Titans lost, 1-0, to Simpson College in game one and won, 5-1, over Mitchell College in game two.Â
Simpson scored its lone run in the fifth inning off an RBI-double. Senior Titan pitcher
Amber Forrest (Clear Spring, MD / Clear Spring) went six innings with six strikeouts.

Kailey Liverman (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) scored the first two Titan runs with an RBI-double in the first inning. Sophomore
Hannah Ritter (Front Royal, VA / Skyline) added a run with an RBI-triple in the fourth, while senior
Lexi Sheffer (Seneca, PA / Cranberry) had an RBI-single in the fifth. First-year
Emily Secrist (Chambersburg, PA / Chambersburg) added insurance with an RBI-single in the seventh. Sophomore pitcher
Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, PA / Woodgrove) earned the win throwing six innings, while striking out 12 batters.Â
The Titans are back in action tomorrow as they continue their Florida schedule with a game against Central College at 9 a.m. and a game against Coe College at 11:15 a.m.
