BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Westminster College men's tennis team won its first match of the season as it won 5-4 at Geneva College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup on Wednesday.
Westminster (1-2, 1-1 PAC) won number one, two, and six singles and number one and two doubles. The Golden Tornadoes dropped to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Sophomore
A.J. May (Butler, PA / Butler) won at number one singles, 6-2, 6-3, and teamed up with classmate
Kornel Foremski (Shaker Heights, OH / Shaker Heights) for an 8-4 win at number one doubles. Foremski also won at number two singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Also picking up wins for the Titans were sophomore
Dylan Mick (Homeworth, OH / Sebring) who won at number six singles, 6-3, 7-5. Additionally, senior
Bryan Greig (Newtownards, Northern Ire / Regent House Grammar School) and classmate
Ethan McCarthy (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) won 8-5 at number two doubles.
The Titans will next play at Grove City College on Friday April 8 at 3:30 p.m.
